January 8th, 2009 by
How can I help you?
That’s it. I just want you to tell me what I, Easton Ellsworth, could do for you. And I promise to do my best to do it.
I’d especially love it if you told me your burning desires related to blogging and social media, of course. But I’ve left my question open-ended so if you really just want me to fix your toilet or sing you a song, I suppose that works, too.
Three randomly selected people who answer the question above by midnight U.S. Eastern time at the end of Friday, January 9 will win a free blog consulting package worth $250 USD including:
- A free 130-point blog inspection in which I scour every inch of your blog for possible areas of improvement and give you my best recommendations (PDF format, $125 value)
- A video screencast in which I visit your blog and give you advice on how to improve your blog ($50 value)
- A free 30-minute blog consultation by phone with me in which we’ll go over your inspection and screencast and talk about a winning strategy for your blog ($75 value)
Winners will receive everything in the prize package by the end of January 2009.

How can I effectively move my content from the subdomain of one domain to a new domain to highlight my great content? I’ve got a great redesign in progress that will highlight the content but I’d love more input to see what I may have missed! The transition hasn’t started yet but the template is 50% done – looking to launch before the end of January.
Hi,
Sara
What are the three biggest issues with my blog?
Hi Easton,
How can I:
* Streamline and improve the appearance of my blog
* Make it more SEO friendly
* Better highlight older content.
Best wishes to Visionary Blogger for 2009!
Alec
Thanks for this great offer. I hope I win because these services would be very timely for me. I’ve been blogging since 2002 overall, and for three years on the current blog. I’m working with a colleague to re-design my site and I’ll be rethinking the blog as part of that effort.
I love blogging, but it’s often a challenge for me. I believe my blog creates value, but I know I can do better. One of the things I’m thinking about now is whether to make my blog the home page of the new site. This is a big decision, because I will need to blog differently than I do now to maintain the necessary post frequency. I’m also thinking about how to make my blog more social and more interactive. I’m under no illusions that I can create a community, but I’m hopeful I can create a sense of community. These are just two of the many questions on which I could use some advice.
So, I would appreciate your unbiased feedback on how I build a better blog and be a better blogger. Again, I really hope I win, because this prize would really help me right now. Thanks again!
how can I get my blog out there with out going broke? and well, with out spending all my time on FB and twitter.
get more comments and feedback.
know what the people want?
I am new, what is the #1 best thing i can do right now?
thanks so much!!
I need help with the technical parts of the blog. Like linking to my other pages, adding cool ad buttons, tweaking my theme= those kinds of things.
I probably need more help than that, lol, but those are things you could most help me with! I would so love to win this package!! I’m a freelance writer, so the more I learn how to properly tweak my own blog, the more I can also earn by doing it for other folks I write for.
Subscribed to your blog and I also followed you on Twitter- I am @TeresaWrites4U
Thanks for the chance to win!
I just yelled pretty loudly. It’s 11PM as I write this and I have woken quite a few dogs. A proverb about letting sleeping dogs lie comes to mind.
Let me get to the point before I start rambling. In the off chance that you didn’t hear my Yell, do count this as my blog’s entry for the contest: http://www.sriraminhell.com
Thanks for the great opportunity and Cheers!!
I have my own domain and on it I have a wordpress install. When I began the blog in July 2007 I intended it to be a self improvement – personal development blog and have published on a wide range of related topics since that time (aromatherapy, massage, internet relationships, relationships, sexuality, sensuality, spirituality, love and happiness).
The blog contains: 426 posts & 2,359 comments. PageRank 4
Alexa Rank 354,318
Listed in DMOZ No
Backlinks from Google 0
Backlinks from Yahoo 22,127
Backlinks from MSN 0
Results from AltaVista 3,010
Results from All the Web 2,970
I would like assistance with developing an overarching strategy including determining how to narrow focus of this blog so as to select & aim it a specific niche, how to create & promote a brand, how to make use of SEO, how to promote it effectively and to increase traffic to it, how to locate related blogs & how to develop a backlink strategy. I would like to aim for generating enough traffic (1,000 – 1,500 hits daily) to monetize this blog within the next year.
Thank you for the opportunity to enter this contest – my fingers are crossed.
Sincerely, tt
Awesome! Thanks everyone for entering so far. Between these comments and lots of other pings in other places (Twitter, etc.), I think we’ve got a great sampling of ideas. I can’t wait to get started!
Clock’s ticking!
You can help my brother promote his new-found talent to the fullest. He just recently started to seriously pursue his character-voice-over skill and now is looking for ways to capitalize on it. Please share your wisdom and knowledge about helping the right people discover him.
Here is his blog voicesofbeck.com
$250 could go along way to help him get to the next level of professionalism!
Cheers,
Eric
Hi Easton,
I am a realtor looking to enter the blogsphere. I have a wordpress blog I’ve been tinkering with but I am feeling quite overwhelmed. I would like someone to manage this whole process from design to making it SEO friendly and help me formulate a plan for success.
I have four photo blogs and I am only starting to be serious about making some income from blogging. I am a photographer by trade and just discover the potential power of increasing my reputation and possible sales by better marketing of myself
I would love to know how I could have more readership and generate more income from advertising or improve SEO.
Thanks
get me tons of readers and commenters.
Awesome! Thanks so much everyone for participating. I’ll contact the three winners and announce them here tomorrow!
