Welcome, Dear Problogger Reader – Who Are You?
March 24th, 2008 by
If you discovered this website via my Problogger post about meta-improvement (the greatest or ultimate blogging skill), I bid you a warm welcome.
(Thanks for your Stumbles, too!)
Here’s a little about me and this site.
My name is Easton Ellsworth. I’m a blog consultant living in northern Colorado with my wife and kids.
This is Visionary Blogging. It’s a website I’ve created to help you learn how to improve your blogs and your blogging skills using the Visionary Blogging method.
I’m also working on a book called Visionary Blogging. I plan to release it this year as a PDF e-book and as a paperback book.
Welcome to Visionary Blogging, dear Problogger reader. I look forward to helping you become a better blogger faster than ever.

Hey, Easton. That is a great article over on ProBlogger. This is an even more fantastic idea than I could have hoped for. I’ll hit you up for plenty of free help at SOBCon, but also go ahead and send you my request ahead of time.
It’s great to see your new ventures, Easton! Good luck with everything.
Thanks Jesse! I know you already!
For everyone else’s benefit, Jesse and I sat by each other at last year’s SOBCon – which reminds me, by the way, I’l be attending this year’s SOBCon unless my heart gets amputated or some such.
And thanks for telling me the comment form was busted in IE. Can’t believe I missed that. Fixed now.
Onward, breaking stuff and improving stuff as I go. Anyone else who sees broken stuff or things I can make better, please shout them out.
Wow what a great website. It feels very homey in hear!
I am starting what will be the first big alternative medicine blog for naturopathic physicians and their patients in my field. I just got my disclaimers back from my attorney and have to perfect a few more pages before I pilot it over the month of April to friends and family…then the medical community at large.
I am getting about 3000 views a month in random readers and will be interested to see how that changes in the next month after official launching. I will be doing recipe contests based off of superfoods, as well as introducing an herb or food of the week. I have a panel of featured writers in other health fields like personal trainers, counselors, life coaches and what not to give people that “celebrity medicine” kind of care that not everyone can afford.
The blog will always be free to anyone to participate in, and I have a plan in store once it is monetizing to make alternative medicine care affordable to underserved populations like the homeless and elderly through funds of my blog.
I am trying to create a large web presence for Naturopathic Physicians and eventually in a year switch from a basic blog to a very grand website dedicated to all the health tips and such that we give out, so that we can eventually compete with the popular alternative medicine MD’s like Andrew Weil and Dr. Oz.
Any ideas or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated…otherwise I just subscribed to your blog and will stay tuned for your words of wisdom. And of course you are always welcome to e-mail me your alternative medicine health questions to be featured in my weekly “Ask Dr. Nicole” column!
Thanks so much for replying to my comment on Darron’s blog and nice to meetcha!

Easton,
Thanks for the article, commented over there, but kudos to you!
Will take some time now to peruse your site. Cheers!
– What am I saying?? To find out about you, all I need is this post .. and shazam!
@D: Thank you for your kind words. I’m excited to look at your blog. 3,000 views a month is excellent. And I love your vision. That’s the way to do it, Nicole! I look forward to watching your blog and site grow.
@Stu: I love that word (shazam). Thanks for visiting and great to meet you too.
Great article. Simple to the point and above all inspiring. It inspired me into thinking differently.
I’m a passionate writer and love my new life as a blogger. I also believe the energy behind the writer is infused into every article.
Do you feel that if you are having a bad you should or shouldn’t write on your blog as the reader may pick this up.
Curious question but one that I often think about when I’m about to write a post after no sleep from the kids.
Love you to check out the vibe of my blog…….. any feedback welcome.
Peace, love and chocolate
Carole
Carole, I am so glad I was able to help!
I just subscribed to your blog. It’s excellent.
You wished me chocolate! Now that sounds wonderful.
Thanks for the ideas you share. Not mentioned, but notable, is your writing style. It seems like you are writing to me. I look forward to your future posts.
Hi Easton,
Making my way over from ProBlogger! You said it wasn’t a “fully-baked idea” but it’s all “oh-so true!”
I think people give up on the daily improvements for a lack of results. But like I said, the article gave me things to think about.
Read you later!

Hi Easton,
I’m just getting started blogging. I did a free Wordpress account about a year ago and decided to take it to my own hosted site last month. I’m in kind of a niche of baseball fan site-blog.
I’ve been reading as much as possible to try to get better. And now I know that I need to get better faster!
I’ve already added you to my feed reader and I’ll check in here often. By the way, I grew up in Englewood, CO.
@Jim: Thanks man. I look forward to writing more posts straight to you.
@Ricardo: Hopefully it helps in the long run.
@Dave: Nice to hear about the CO connection there. A glance at your blog tells me it’s off to a great start.
Easton, I too found you through Problogger. Great article on meta-improvement…It’s a concept that not only relates to blogging, but any other part of life that we wish to improve.
Keep up the good work! I’m looking forward to hearing more from you.
Hi there.
I’ve been blogging a while, but I’d like to get better — be more interesting, maybe. But I gotta be me, and I’m the mommy blogger type more than anything else. Blogging is such a great creative outlet for me! I have a lot of reading to do on your site — it’s nice to meet you!
@Mike: Thank you, man. I hoped that someone would see that connection. I know it’s not a fully-baked idea, but it is a good one. I look forward to offering some good stuff here for ya as we move through 2008 and beyond.
@Sue: Being yourself is the most interesting thing you can do. There isn’t much to read on this site – yet. Soon and very soon, I will have a lot of fresh stuff on blog improvement for you to devour. And I’m with you on feeling like you’re 12 but watching time fly by. “And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it’s sinking, racing around to come up behind you again” – Pink Floyd.
I’m glad I’ve stumbled onto your blog. I’ll be following all 3 steps listed above…I need all the help I can get. I am posting my 100th post by making 100 comments on other blogs. I’ll definitely be following yours more. SO MUCH TO LEARN!!
Hey! Been blogging for a few months now and loving every minute of it. Of course I'm struggling with results now as I have no network built up. Hopefully with time!
Thanks for coming by this new blog, Grandy! You certainly don't need any help commenting – wow, what an undertaking. I look forward to many fruitful conversations with you.
Kellex, yup – with time you should see improvement. There's a snowball effect that often doesn't start to happen until you've been at this for several months at least. Hang in there!
